Mayan calendar: myth or truth

In the past few months, people's interest in the Mayan calendar and its prophecies has increased at a phenomenal pace. Public opinion on this ancient calendar is divided. Some believe that this calendar has no rational basis and is basically a myth. Alternately, there are several others who firmly opine that the Mayan calendar is a true prophecy on the future.

Scientists and astrologers agree that the Mayan people possessed supreme knowledge. These learned people were exponents of analytical thinking. They used scientific methods to come up with theories of human existence. Based on meticulous planning and scientific observations, the Mayan people developed a calendar that computed our solar year to be 365.242306 days long.

Interestingly, according to the Gregorian calendar that we follow today calculates our solar year to be 365.2525 days long. This clearly reflects that the Mayan calendar is both precise and scientific. Owing to this precision in their calculations and premonitions, a number of astrologers and soothsayers are fearing that the Mayan prophesy about the world coming to an end on December 21, 2012, could be true.

Scientists and astronomers all over the world have rubbished reports that suggest that the world will finally come to an end in 2012. According to them, these reports are only a figment of imagination that has no concrete evidence. Moreover, a section of these rational thinkers and social scientists further believe that the hoopla surrounding December 21, 2012, is actually nothing but a smart marketing move. Scientists are confident that December 21, 2012 will go down in the pages of history, just another day.

Whether the Mayan prophecy finally comes true or not is a matter of deliberation. In the meantime, marketers seem to have found a commercially viable concept in this prophecy. This is quite evident from the response that this prophecy is gaining, prompting filmmakers to make movies on it. 2012 Prophecy exposed

It is amazing that many individuals don't believe that some major earth changing event on Dec 21 2012 will happen. When I realized this, I selected to find out why so many folk failed to believe. It is my conclusion that many of us have experienced this so called dooms day eventuality during the past and it never occurred. Almost all of the time the Doomsday events were put out to the public by fanatics that were only getting their information from a crazed Evangelist or a "want-to-be" Soothsayer . The truth is that there's a multitude of information gathered by renowned scientists that have indicated that some event, little or enormous, minor or catastrophic, will happen. You can read about them also in the 12.21.2012 Planet X Codex.

First, the realignment of the Earth, Sun, and the Milky Way Universe on Dec 21 2012. In the subsequent 5 years the Earth, Sun, and the middle of the Milky Way Universe will realign after 26,000 years. This realignment will have some effect on Earth, but to what extent scientists can't establish. There's no written history of events that occurred 26,000 years back to confirm how extensive the outcome will be. The sole archeological find that scientists can use is the Mayan calendar, but the Mayan civilization wasn't even in existence 26,000 ago so the accuracy of the calendar has not been determined. So be wary of what you listen to over the web, most of what you hear and see is only used to scare people. The facts are only this, the realignment of the big three and that civilization will continue to be since we are still hear from the last alignment.

30th 1983, astronomers found a new planet using the IRUS telescope. This planet is roughly the size of Juniper, has a particularly long orbit, and only shows itself each 3,500 to 3,600 years. This so called 10th Planet isn't speculated nor has NASA analyst and astronomers around the globe failed to confirm its existence. This planet is confirmed and is of great concern to the presidencies around the world. It'll have some impact on Earth and our existence but will not wipe out the human race. We are still here from the last time and we will be here the subsequent time.

Happen in 2012

You must have surely heard a lot of people talking about the end of the world fast approaching with the doomsday being predicted to be coming in the year 2012. What exactly is the significance of planetary alignment in 2012, you may ask. The answer lies in carefully studying the Mayan calendar. According to this calendar the day, 21/12/2012 will be of great significance. According to the ancient scriptures of the great Mayan Civilization, planetary alignment in 2012 would herald the beginning of a new age.

While there are many who may argue that the civilization existed too long ago, for the prediction to be taken seriously, there are certain other important aspects that you need to look into. For instance, while the prediction in itself may appear absurd, you should not forget that it is based on the movement of stars and planets. Planetary alignment in 2012 is therefore, something that we do not have any control on.

One more factor that needs to be carefully considered is that the Mayans possessed supreme astronomical and mathematical skills. Not only did this knowledge help them create a calendar 3,500 years ago, it also helped them to create a complex mathematical calculator too. This unique calculator was used in conjunction with the planetary movements to arrive at the particular doomsday date by the ancient Mayans.

Planetary alignment in 2012 assumes importance because of a unique lining up of planets during this day. It is predicted that the sun will lineup with the center of the Milky Way on 21/12/2012. This planetary alignment in 2012 is something that an extremely rare occurrence. In fact, it is known to happen only once in 25,800 years. The ancient Mayans believed that these celestial events will have a direct impact on the lives of all living beings and that it will herald the beginning of a new age.

2012 Doomsday predictions

If there is one day that the entire mankind is eagerly waiting for, then it has to be 21st December 2012. If there is something that many of the major religions have in common then it must be on December 2012 Doomsday predictions. Almost every major religious text has got references to this being the time when major changes could occur in our planet. Among all the references, perhaps the most significant and well known is the prediction of December 2012 Doomsday by the Mayan Calendar. According to the world will enter a new age on the particular date. With the Mayans civilization being extremely knowledgeable in both astronomy and mathematics, the prediction has generated lot of interest around the world. Let us take a look at the top reasons why the December 21st, 2012 is so important.

The Mayans were extremely skilled in creating mathematical and astrological apparatus and they created their calendar 3,500 years ago. The calendar clearly mentions that there would be major changes that would take place in the world, come December 2012 Doomsday. There are many among the scientific community who believe that due to global warming, solar storms would be entering the earth in large quantities by 2012 and this could trigger off a series of catastrophes. This is how they feel that the Mayan December 2012 Doomsday prediction would ultimately destroy all life on earth.

What is more that there are many geologists who believe that there could be major volcanic eruptions around the world in 2012. This is being equated with the December 2012 Doomsday prediction and being seen as one of the ways that the world will be destroyed, if it were to occur. A vast majority of people who believe in the Mayan Calendar predict that there could be mass destruction of life on earth in the year 2012 because of the shift of earth's two poles.

Polar shift in 2012

Earth has known several polar shifts in the past, and future polar shifts are inevitable. The question that boggles everybody is "when will it happen again?".  Now scientists have concluded that magnetic poles are about to shift or even reverse itself yet again.  Such an event has left the planet in chaos before so there are good reasons to be concerned and to prepare for yet another world catastrophe.

Violent Vortices
In recent news, at least considering that our planet now is 4.56 billion years old, an article was published in the Sunday Times of London on January 12th, 2003 stating that Nils Olson, researcher at the Center for Planetary Science in Denmark, warns for tremendous changes occurring deep in the Earth's core. The magnetic field is considered to be controlled from the inner core and therefore his research is relevant to support related research about the impact on the polarities of the planet.  Turbulent and swirling vortices of molten matter are impacting the levels of magnetic fields that hang above the surface of our planet.  When those vortices get overly turbulent, something that appears to have started happening, a total reversal of the magnetic field can occur, in other words a polar shift or reversal takes place.  Scientists also have found that those events happen on average every 750,000 years...which makes that the planet is long overdue for the next polar shift.

Direct consequences
Seen the fact that the last polar shift took place close to a million years ago, and that no humans inhabited Earth that long time ago, no eye witnesses were present to document what to expect at a next polar shift. This leaves us with to project, extrapolate and basically guess what the impact will be next time this happens.  However, there are certain consequences that can easily be deducted and there is no doubt that they will happen.  For example, electrical equipments will all fail; unseen displays of thunder and lightning will take place; seismic and volcanic activity will reach dramatic heights in itself being responsible for catastrophic results.

Lethal radiation
Since the magnetic shield also protects the planet from dangerous solar radiation, the reversal of the poles will be preceded by a time where the shield will disappear and during which all life will be impacted unless protected in some sort other than what we take for granted...the air. In addition is it unclear how long such an interruption would last, but some sources indicate it could easily take 100 years for the magnetic shield to be restored.  Massive extinction will be the result of this. Unprotected from the sun's radiation, crops fail, animals die, and humans fall prone to deadly cancers.

How can we prepare for such a disaster?
One thing is certain, as humans we stand zero chance to avoid a polar shift.  Powers of the universe rule and the only thing we can do is see it happen.  The best thing there is to do is to prepare ourselves a good as humanly possible...and the worst outcome must be taken as what will happen.  On an individual level, what you can do is to learn where you can be best to avoid being in the wrong place when it happens.  Knowing that volcanoes and earthquakes, unseen levels of storms and other tragic events will rule for a period of time, seeking a location where the least vault lines and volcanoes are, is a prudent first step.  You can then start preparing for the shortage on uncontaminated foods and water by stocking up significant piles of imperishable foods.  A stock for 10 years or more is not exaggerated.  Protected gear from heat, radiation but also extreme colds is also high on the list. On a national level nations must develop a strategy for dealing with mass disruption likely to result from the malfunction of all types of electrical equipment and the failure of crops.  Massive casualties cannot be avoided, yet the continuation of human kind needs to stay high on each nation's agenda.  It is believed that several organizations have been secretly working around the clock to reassure that valuable resources will remain available after order is restored...

Significant recent events
In December 2004 South East Asia was shook up with a category 9 earthquake, causing and immense catastrophe for the region near the island of Sumatra.  Several scientists agree that Earth was very close to the next polar reversal.  And what may be even more frightening is that it simply could have been a warm-up exercise announcing the actual event coming up in the near future.  This places the theories of it happening in 2012 in the hotspot again.  Whether this is correct or not, it isn't the best news when you consider that the world became hopelessly unbalanced and that it wouldn't require much force to turn it over. From ancient records we've learned that this has happened many times before.

Ignoring it would be naive
As no crystal ball can predict the exact timing of such dramatic event as the polar shift, many sources direct towards the end of the year 2012.  Ignoring the real threats impacting the world and all of its inhabitants would be simply naive.  We must be aware, be as much informed to what possible timing and results will be, and to prepare as much as humanly possible for the Polar Reversal when it finally does occur.

Scientific reasons 2012

The event created by the Hollywood is really shameful for the human kind. Culprit never minds to put fear for their earning and familiarity of livelihood. Inculcating the publicity by declaring the false statement and projection should be banned by the international Laws.  There should be strict regulation against the assassin of human mental peace. Millions and millions people had been nervous with their fearful enigmas living. How the hale had so consciously planned to do so? Why he was not thought about the whole nations as well as for human kind. He must not so much selfish to intensify such commitment of terrible destruction, only just for his fictions stories publicity. How their nation has sanctioned such nonsense fiction movie? It is also true that how an individual can do well for the human kind, who has achieved all the pseudo and hypocrite education and knowledge.  Who so ever it concerns, it matters the people of the Globe, should not be exempted from punishment for the crime he has done by putting the all countries in terrible panic.

Asteroid/Meteor/Comet - ancient, advanced civilizations have one distinct advantage over us - they may have observed the skies for longer, and may have spotted an orbit that will culminate in a collision with Earth in 2012. This is easily the most predictable disaster for 2012. With recent discussion of "dark comets", we have become aware of the possibility of our planet being struck with little or no warning. Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) from our Sun - a CME was behind the solar storm of 1859. It occurred in September of that year, causing the failure of telegraph systems across North America and Europe. Accompanying the storm were auroras that are normally only seen in the Arctic and Antarctic, but were visible as far south as the Caribbean. Typically we would expect a storm of 1859's magnitude cause power blackouts and wreck satellites. But do we really know how big they can get? In 2009 NASA told us to be wary of solar storms, and warned of the dangers to America's ancient overloaded power grid. Being without power for a few months, in the developed world, is a lot more serious than most people realise.

Magnetic Pole Shift - pole reversals have been happening on average once every 400,000 years, with the most recent one being 730,000 years ago - so we are well overdue. Not only do we not know much about reversals, scientists are still unsure about how our magnetic field is generated. Long thought to be a by-product of the movements of liquid iron in our planet's core, recent studies are suggesting that our salty oceans might be the cause. Scientists suggest a geomagnetic reversal takes thousands of years and does no harm. They are wrong - it could just as easily happen overnight. No mechanism is known for the cause of the magnetic poles swapping places. Our magnetic field is known to be rapidly declining (10% in the last 150 years), and the magnetic North pole is moving around at an accelerating pace - it has been predicted it will move from Canada to Siberia in the next 50 years. These changes could be indicating an imminent reversal.

Explosion from the black hole at the center of our galaxy - in 1983 Dr Paul LaViolette described the dangers of a Galactic core explosion. He explained that it would generate a cosmic ray superwave, and it would be signalled by a gamma ray burst (see below). He also warned us that a gravity wave might travel ahead of the superwave. If seems likely that the 2004 tsunami was caused by a gravity wave, because the accompanying GRB arrived just 21 hours later, and was the brightest ever observed, 100 times brighter than any other seen in recorded history. This gravity wave did not come from our galactic center, but if it had, perhaps the effects would have been much worse.

Religious Apocalypse - or rapture, or "judgment day". Most religions predict such a day. Conspiracy theorists suggest that many world leaders have apocalyptic beliefs, and may even be attempting to cause Biblical prophecy to be fulfilled in 2012 via their actions. If it helps, the Bible says “But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.” But then again, maybe God changed his mind since the Bible was written, and told some people the date of the apocalypse? Maybe he told the ancient Mayans? Possibilities could be argued ad infinitum. Alien Invasion - no evidence, but plenty of believers! Tied in with this are recent crop circles that have 2012 and Mayan themes. If aliens are the creators of crop circles, then one would expect the circles to be a warning of sorts.

Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) - a 2004 study told us that a GRB from a distance of just one kiloparsec could destroy half of Earth's ozone layer. It suggests that historical mass extinctions may have been caused by GRBs. NASA explains how "gamma-ray radiation from a relatively nearby star explosion, hitting the Earth for only ten seconds, could deplete up to half of the atmosphere's protective ozone layer. Recovery could take at least five years. With the ozone layer damaged, ultraviolet radiation from the Sun could kill much of the life on land and near the surface of oceans and lakes, and disrupt the food chain."

Crustal Displacement - a physical pole shift. The mechanism is not understood, and most theories are just wild guesses. However it seems quite likely we had one 12,000 years ago, and what goes around, comes around. Charles Hapgood provided substantial evidence for a pole shift at that time, and Allan and Delair have added to it in their book Cataclysm!: Compelling Evidence of a Cosmic Catastrophe in 9500 B.C. Take into account that Albert Einstein endorsed Hapgood's ideas, and we have something to worry about. Cosmic Rays - scientists have yet to work out where most high-energy cosmic rays come from. Either an increase striking our atmosphere, or a weakening of our shields, will let in more cosmic rays. They are already zipping through your body every second, and they could end up being our silent killers. As one example of their danger, airlines do not let pregnant women work on their inter-continental routes, because of the increased exposure to cosmic rays at those heights.

Flu Pandemic - it might not be swine flu, but flu researchers say a deadly pandemic is not a case of if, but when. Our generation is generally unaware of how bad the pandemic of 1918 was - it killed 50 million people. It was the number one cause of death amongst soldiers in WW1. Being killed by the enemy came second. Nuclear War / WW3 / Biological War - although the Cold War is over, and less bunkers are being built, the threat is still very real. Tensions between the Koreas, and India & Pakistan are worrisome, as are the huge bunkers that the Russians have built. The Yamantau complex is large enough to protect 60,000 people!

Supervolcano - these are real, they have caused great catastrophes in the past, and we have no idea when the next eruption will be. Some believe Yellowstone could explode again soon, as it has been exhibiting signs of unrest, with earthquake swarms, ground deformation and considerable heat and gas emissions. It it did erupt, expect half of the USA to be wiped out, and major variations in global climate for many years. For more information, watch documentaries by the BBC and Discovery Channel. Rise of the Machines - somewhere between Terminator and I Robot is an easy prediction: robots one day will have the capacity to rule the world. Global Warming - it will only take an increase of a couple of degrees to make life very difficult for most humans. Luckily for us, it is unlikely to wipe us out as early as 2012.

Time Travel Error - someone from the future ventures into our past and causes a conflict in the time-space continuum... if it causes us harm in 2012, maybe someone managed to zip back in time and warn the ancients of it? Nanotechnology - while this might have health concerns when used in everyday products (ie sunscreen), the doomsday risk is when self-replicating little thingies are developed. Search for "grey goo". Fortunately 2012 seems too soon for some mad scientist to let the goo loose. Nearby Supernova - experts say that no supernova candidates are close enough to harm us. But how many supernovas have they observed? This is where, after the fact, scientists proclaim "but of course!" Genetic Modification - we blindly take vaccinations, and we might be sheep when it comes to "gene therapy" as well. Our desire to live longer might just be our undoing.

Nuclear Accident - nothing is foolproof. We've had such accidents in the past, and a bigger accident is totally possible. Hard for the ancients to predict, though. Ice Age - right now the buzz is about "global warming", yet a mere thirty years ago we were worried about an impending Ice Age. There is evidence that parts of our climate system work more like a switch than a dial, and if a certain level of temperature is reached, it may cause what is known as "abrupt climate change". See the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" for how it might work. Solar System Falls Apart (butterfly effect) - to the best of our knowledge, everything is OK for a long, long time. However simulations have shown how Mercury could cause Earth and Mars to collide a few billion years from now. But throw a stray comet or Planet X into the mix, and our solar system could turn into a catastrophic pinball machine any old time.

Large Hadron Collider - scientists tinkering with something they think they understand the risks of, but what if there's a 0.000001% chance their black hole calculations are wrong? Is it worth the risk? Originally we were told by CERN scientists that it was impossible for a black hole (that might gobble up the entire planet) to be created by the LHC, because it "would decay before it had the chance to do any damage". This has recently been updated to "the growth of black holes to catastrophic size does not seem possible.”

13 Moon calendar mayan

The Maya calendar also known as the 13 moon calendar, is an interesting piece of work both because of its complexity and because of its great accuracy. The Maya people have predicted many events in the past and the most discussed one is their prediction for 2012. So how does the calendar work and what exactly did they predict? Read on to find out. So why is it known as the 13 moon calendar? Well the reason for this is because the Mayans used a 13 month instead of a 12 month system, with each month having 28 days. Some will argue that this is a more natural way of counting time as todays 12 month calendar have a varying number of days for each month. There's also 13 full moons in a year.

Nobody knows when the Maya calendar was made but experts say that it was already in use around 600 B.C. The calendar itself starts on August 11 in the year 3114 B.C. The 13 moon calendar utilizes a long count in order to accurately measure long periods of time. This long count starts on August 11 in the year 3114 B.C, and ends on december 21. 2012. This end date is close, and have been the reason for many 2012 doomsday theories.

The Mayan people have had many remarkable predictions, like predicting 9/11 and solar eclipses thousands of years into the future. What's interesting is that many others have predicted something catastrophic to happen in 2012, including China's oldest texts, the I Ching prophecies. The I Ching prophecies have proven themselves time and time again, predicting World War 1, World War 2, 9/11 and more. I-Ching also predicts the end of time on December 21. 2012. What the end of the Maya calendar means is a highly debated topic. Some say that it's just a calendar with a random end-date and therefore doesn't mean anything. Others believe that the date have significant meaning, after all Mayans are not the only people who have chosen this specific date to signify the end.

2012 or 2013

It has come to my attention that many people do not believe that some event in the years 2012 to 2013 will happen. Once I realized this, I chose to find out why so many folks didn't believe. It is my conclusion that many have experienced this so called dooms day eventuality during the past and it never happened. There are two events that have been determined by scientists that will happen.

First, the realignment of the Earth, Sun, and the Milky Way galaxy in the very near future will occur. What will precisely happen and to what extent, none of the scientists essentially can pin down, but what they do know is this. In the next 5 years the Earth, Sun, and the center of the Milky Way galaxy will realign after 26,000 years. This realignment will have some effect on Earth, but to what extent scientists cannot identify. There's no written history of events that happened 26,000 years back to verify how in depth the end result will be. The sole archeological find that scientists can use is the Mayan calendar, but the Mayan civilization wasn't even in existence 26,000 gone so the accuracy of the calendar hasn't been determined. So be wary of what you listen to over the web, most of what you hear and see is only used to frighten folks. The facts are only this, the realignment of the big three and that civilization will continue to exist since we are still hear from the last alignment.

2nd, the passing of our tenth Planet crosses between the orbit of the Earth and Sun. On Dec. 30th 1983, astronomers found a new planet using the IRUS telescope. This planet is approximately the size of Jupiter, has a particularly long orbit, and only shows itself each 3,500 to 3,600 years. This so called 10th Planet isn't speculated nor has NASA researcher and astronomers around the world didn't determine its existence. This planet is determined and is of great concern to the states around the planet. What will happen when this planet comes close to Earth, scientists cannot establish. It'll have some result on Earth and our existence but will not wipe out human kind. We are still here from the last time and we'll be here the next time.

Regarding end of earth

There has been said a lot on 2010 predictions regarding end of Earth. Many astrological and scientific facts has been given that are pointing towards one thing that 2012 is the end of the world. In this the most popular one is the Mayan calender also called Mesoamerican Long Count Calender. It is there for the period of 5125 but after 21 December 2010 there is nothing in that calender. Experts are believing that it is pointing towards the end of the world in 2012.

The Hindu vedic astrology is also saying the same. According to vedic astrology, December 2012 is the month when Kalyuga will end (present time) and Satya Yuga will begin. There will destruction and the whole earth will have a new life.

There are few other 2012 predictions regarding end of Earth which are Sun Storm Predictions, Super Volcano, Swapping of North and South Poles, Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) and more like this. In Sun Storm predictions, solar experts believe that the Sun although in the middle of its stability is giving out signals of excessive heat, which in December 2012 will so high that it will lead to the end of the world. As per Super Volcano theory the volcano under Yellowstone National Park that is located in United States burst after the period of 650,000 and December 2012 is the time when it will burst and engulf the whole world. The volcano will be so intense that it will lead to the frozen winters for at least 15,000 years. According yet another theory that is the Swapping of poles it is said that north and south poles of the earth swap their positions once in 750,000. So the time is near when this swapping is going to happen. During swapping the gravitational pull of the earth will vanish leading to the end of world in 2012.

2012 Apocalypse mayan predictions

Are the 2012 apocalypse Mayan predictions and what is written inside the 2012 Official Countdown guide for real? There are a lot of discussions nowadays about the world-end predictions made for the year of 2012, especially ever since the forecasts were made into a movie and shown to the public. If the Mayan predictions were really true, this would mean that there is really little time left for us to prepare. Atheists, agnostics and many major and minor religions around the world have all agreed that something is about to happen in the year 2012.

This guide is written by James Sayer and is meant to explain to readers the real significance of 2012 and how to help them prepare for disaster. Reading this guide, I have discovered many of the truths about history and how they point towards an event that can very possibly happen in the year 2012. Readers will learn the real Nostradamus visions and predictions that were made which forecasted the WWII. There are some world-end theories inside as well.

There are some extreme predictions being made about how our lives will be destroyed a planet that could shift into the Earth's path and collide with it, destroying and throwing every life form into space. Other scientists believe that a meteor will fly into the path of the Earth and hit it with extreme impact. There are also theories being made about how it could be swallowed up by a massive black hole cause by a gravity explosion. Regardless of what happens, the 2012 Official Countdown Guide will provide all the interesting and some shocking facts about what might happen and how to prepare in advance for it.

2012 End of the world

Are you sure about that? If you believe in 2012: End of the World because of the Time Wave, maybe you should know the facts. Just because some guy strung out on psychadelic drugs says that the I Ching agrees with the Mayan Long Count calender end date means absolutely nothing. In fact, the I Ching is not a calendar, nor was it ever used as one. Why would someone concoct a reason to force two ancient and well known systems for opposite uses to have the same ending date?

An excellent question! Does the Maya’s ancient Long Count calendar really predict the end of the world? You will be very interested in learning that every webpage, magazine and television show that has created a great deal of hubbub about this end of the Mayan Long Count uses the Aztec Sun Stone as their imagery. Why are they all showing you the wrong artifact while telling you that 2012: End of the World is coming?

Niburu is coming back and will collide with Earth smashing it in half. Yes, that’s what a lot of Sumerian crazed followers are claiming. There is a great deal of support for this said missing planet’s reappearance in our solar system. However, no where is there a prediction or prophecy that Niburu is coming back and its arrival is coinciding with 2012: End of the World. One thing of note, an odd disturbance is going on out there beyond our realm of sight that is causing Pluto to behave rather oddly. So is the real Planet X, a.k.a. Niburu at this moment getting ready to plunge toward Earth?

Did they predict this year 2012 end of the world too? First of all, these are not just the Hopi people’s legends, actually the Hopi are the record keepers for all of the brother tribes. That would be all North American Indian tribes and people. The Blue Star Kachina is coming. When he dances
in the plaza for all the people to see, things will not bode well for Earth will rock to and fro like the shaking of a child who has been misbehaving.

Do the Hopi agree with the Mayan predictions for Year 2012: End of the World? It agrees with our current Mayan age of man ending on a Day of Movement as their Long Count calendar does. This age of humanity began with major disrupting movement on the planet, and will end with the same kind of events. Then there are the Inca predictions too.

You might want to read the book from cover to cover again. No, the bible doesn’t state, Year 2012: End of the World. If you read it with your mind open and your television silenced, you might just realize that it says a great deal more now than the last time you read it. Maybe you just weren’t paying attention to what the verses were trying to tell you in an ancient tongue, with limited knowledge. So exactly what does it say that agrees with these other predictions and prophecies?

Not since the beginning of the world to this time. That would definitely give credence to this being the 4th age of man for the Mayas and the 4th world for the Hopi. There is even a verse in the Bible that states that at the end of times, the world will 'shake to and fro'. The man on the white horse who arrives in Revelations 19:11? He is the same figure as Kalki from the Hindu puranas. Both of whom come to cleanse the world in the end of days and wearing white robes with sword at ready.

What about the crop circle predictions and polar shift? What about all the other things you haven’t a clue are being said. What things are true as opposed to which ones are disinformation? You really don’t have any time to waste, December 21, 2012 is only months away, not decades. Something this life altering is best to approach it with your mind and eyes wide open.

If 2012: End of the World is real, what are you really going to do about your future or the future of your loved ones? Do you really want to just accept what everyone else thinks, or would you rather to be able to decide for yourself what is fact, what is fiction and what you mean to do about all of it? You won't find answers in a blockbuster movie or on the television screen. You can't harness the power of your mind if it is hooked up to the programmer.

2012 a reality bound to happen

There is strong debate regarding the 2012 doomsday expectations. There are people who believe that the theory is true and there are others who laugh at the possibility that the world as we know it will disappear on 21.12.2012. Firstly, let me tell you what is all the fuzz about, for everyone who doesn’t know . On December 21, 2012 the apparent "Doomsday" will occur. Regardles of how this might look like to you, don't just throw this off as a Conspiracy Theory just yet.

The Mayans calendar, they have set their calendar three thousand years ago, and their clock is still in use eventhough the Mayans themselves were killed years ago. On the mysterious date 21.12.2009 is the date when their calendar stops, or as someone refers to it, the Mayan calendar resets. In addition, the Mayans have successfully predicted events like the both World Wars. According to Einstein, everything on Earth is run by clocks, So the question then is – What will happen when everything triggers at the same time? This theory goes back to when Einstein collectively figured out all of Earth plates and faults could and might move i.e. trigger all at once, producing mass earthquakes and volcanoes.

If you are not convinced yet take into account the following: in the “Bible” it is mentioned that “God” will not end the world with water, but the world will be ended by fire. In addition, the immense predictor, Nostradamus, who successfully predicted the Adolf Hitler raising to power as well as the World Wars, initially predicts a third World War which will be started by some third world country. He also portrays the end of the world as being full of fire and power. Coming to the 2012 theory, I must say that I personally believe in 21 12 2012 doomsday expectations. Although, I can’t say that I fully agree with the actual disasters that will take place, I do believe that something will happen and we should all be prepared for it, we should prepare to survive, to save ourselves and our beloved ones.

Prophecies of 2012

If the prophecies of 2012 have any truth to them, then there is little time left to make the most important decisions in your life. Before dismissing all the stories you hear, take some time and find out the truth about the year 2012 prophecy. December 21, 2012 has been literally set in stone as the last day on the Mayan Calander. When it comes to an event like the end of the world, science cannot help us. These forces that can have yet to be discovered by classic study methods.
Therefore, we are left on our known to decide what will happen in year 2012. If there is even a little truth to these prophecies, the decisions we make leading up to the end of the year 2012 could be the most important decisions we make in our lives. Before taking your side, you should know what is really meant by "end of the world 2012". They were definitely not warning us that the planet will be destroyed.

Mayans living today are making it known that what they really meant was that life will take a higher meaning. Those who can view earth from a cosmic point of view are able to interpret our planet farther into the past. With all the information about year 2012 and the mayan prophecies you can either believe its true or not. Think about a doctor telling you you have 6 months to live. Not only do these people enjoy life more and go out and get the things they want but some rare cases even reverse there medical condition. The Prophecy of 2012 is giving us only a few more years to live so my best advice is to live your life to the fullest and live as if the 2012 prophecies are true.

2012 Secrets

There are many predictions about the year 2012, some backed up by facts, and many which are not. It can be difficult to figure out whats true and whats not when researching this topic. Opinions vary greatly, and people, who many of are uninformed themselves, will try to persuade you in to believing what they believe. The clock is already ticking, as it has been for many years. Every known prediction points to great suffering, and natural catastrophe unlike any previous experience. There is a great deal of evidence that all points to either a dramatic change on planet Earth, or the possible end of the world.

No one wants the world will end on December 21, 2012. The repetitive prophecies, research and scientific evidence strongly suggest that life might not continue on as usual. Will these changes bring about a global awakening; an unveiling of the truth? Will humanity enter into an age of new spirituality due to this cosmic event? Or will we need to make preparations to survive natural and environmental disaster? It will be difficult to plan what options your future holds without any insight of what could possibly happen next.

One thing is for certain, something is going to happen. Will it be the end of the world? Or will December 21, 2012 mark the beginning of a new era in human development? Something is definitely going to happen. What? We don’t know for sure, but the date matches up with so many prophecies from ancient people and religious leaders today, that something is sure to happen. You owe it to yourself and those you love, to learn more.

2012 Mayan or aztec calendar

Until just recently, not many people put a lot into the calendar. To most of us a calendar is blocks of time by which we arrange our busy lives. We are in tune with dayplanners; books with lines for every hour of every day, week in and week out. Suddenly the world is agog over a calendar chisled in stone. It cannot be erased or changed to suit the whims of modern life. At best, the Mayan 2012 calendar is mysterious and other worldly.

Nor is this piece of archaeolgical time keeping brightly colored. In fact, the Mayan Long Count is a series of calendars known as ‘stella’. They are actually very tall squared columns of rock that occupy a special place in each ancient Maya community. All four sides of these stella have series of glyphs and figures carved on them. Once up on a time there were many books that held the key to the Long Count calendars. All but one of the books, or codexes as they are referred to, were destroyed by the papacy in the 1500’s when the Spanish arrived to change the Maya world forever.

Many years of study has gone into deciphering the glyphs by numerous archaeoligists and historians. Originally, there were several different conclusions, with four different translations arriving at end dates within a several day range. Eventually, it was decided that one of them was correct. Then decades later this particular scholar changed his mind after further study. He proclaimed the real end date of the Mayan calendar was not December 21, 2012 but December 23, 2012.

Numerically, this is a curious date that looks the same coming and going, with a center that is a mirror of both ends. More mysterious than the baktuns and glyphs is the fact that every program on your television, webpage or print publication about the 2012 calendar of the Mayas shows the wrong artifact. Every single one of them presents you with the Aztec Sun Stone as the image of the Maya Long Count calendar.

The Aztec Sun Stone mimics the time keeping system known as the Maya Tzolkin. But the Tzolkin measures a moon cycle and just keeps rotating through the days. The Haab is very simple, while the sun stone is complex in carvings. Additionally, the Aztecs were not meticulous time keepers; in fact the dates could be off by years from one community to another. Whether it is because the sun stone is brilliantly colored or the reasoning lies elsewhere is at present unknown. Still, what most people think is the Mayan Long Count calendar is absolutely wrong. After all, the Aztecs and the Mayas are two seperate cultures.

Some people believe that the Mayan people were the first to use decimals. They learned mathmatics and calendar keeping from the Olmecs. The Olmecs were the first native inhabitants of South America in the current age of man. It is said that the Olmecs were the people saved from the land of Lemuria at the time that Atlantis and Lemuria were destroyed. So this incredible mathematical system appears to actually carry over from the third world of man. Be that as it may, the end date remains firm for the 2012 calendar on December 21st.

2012 Examined

It's always been my philosophy that the most rational approach to anything is to safety and emergency preparednessbalance reason with readiness. So when the murmurs about 2012 began to grow into grumblings, and the grumblings grew into shouts, and the shouts grew into hysterical ranting, I figured it was about time to look into the matter and see if I couldn't find out what the facts on 2012 really were. Should we be worried? Should we stock up? And whose opinion should we trust? There are an awful lot of crisis-mongers out there, willing to pass along any terror-inducing hype as a means of parting you from your bucks. If there really IS anything we should know about December 21, 2012 that's significant to our safety or peace of mind, then it would be a shame to lose the message because we got too tired of listening to the tinfoil-hat-wearing New Age crap-peddlers.

So, what are the facts? 2012 does, after all, seem to present a unique confluence of multiple prophecies, events, predictions, mythologies, and cosmologies. It's arguable that no prior period in history has seen such a merging of so wild a variety of belief systems and prophecies. There's the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, and biblical prophecies of the End Times. The predictions of the I Ching, and Timewave Zero. The Sybil, Nostradamus, Isaac Newton, Edgar Cayce, and Mother Shipton all weigh in, among others. The Hopi have tossed a hat into the ring. Even science - or at least pseudoscience - gets a toe in the door, what with the statistics of the Bible code, the Web Bot Project, the Solar Maximum and threatening Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), predictions of a possible geomagnetic reversal (incorrectly referred to as a "polar shift"), the Precession of the Equinoxes, and the potentially deadly Planet X flyby. What isn't debated is that there will be a rare galactic alignment on that day, one that only appears every 26,000 years or so, which in itself is enough to make even the skeptics pause for thought. As we finally, truly enter the Age of Aquarius, 2012 has become the byword for futurist phobias. But is it just Y2K on steroids?

There is simply too much out there on 2012 to get away with ignoring it completely. It's only a matter of time before the media latch onto it and hype the living hell out of the subject - the History Channel has certainly taken the lead there. But when you really dig in and read the literature and hit the blogs, trying to nail down the facts on 2012, you're pretty likely to end up both fascinated and befuddled, and even run the risk of joining the collective obsession and succumbing to the scare.

Any research on 2012 has to start with the Mayan Long Count Calendar. The Mayans actually were (and are) brilliant mathematicians, astronomers, and time keepers. Their calendric system, which is based largely on astronomical observances, has a degree of accuracy and a depth of symbology that puts our Gregorian system to shame. Two thousand years ago, at a time when the majority of the world didn't question the idea that the world was flat and earth was the center of the universe, the Mayans came up with a cosmological view that could make astronomical predictions that were accurate to within mere seconds. No mean feat, to say the least. I certainly can't go into even a fraction of detail about this fascinating topic in this short article, but I encourage you to read more about it, as it's one of the most interesting angles to the whole 2012 topic.

But possibly the most interesting thing is that the Mayan faith and mythology, their systems for keeping time, and even their design and hieroglyphs, are very like those of other traditional civilizations, such as the Egyptians, with whom they were unlikely to have had contact. This odd synchronicity becomes tough to explain, until you consider the one thing they did have in common - the sky. Is it really possible that multiple cultures and civilizations, divided by vast distances in time and geography, could divine similar meaning and draw the same conclusions from the same astronomical observances? And if so, does this lend greater credibility to their philosophy of time and how it is to unfold? Anthropologists attempt to answer this question, with varying degrees of success.

In our solar system, the Sun and the planets share roughly the same plane of orbit, known as the plane of the ecliptic. From our perspective here on Earth, the Zodiacal constellations move along or near the ecliptic, and over a span of time, appear to recede counterclockwise by one degree every 72 years. This movement is attributed to a tiny wobble in the Earth's axis as it rotates. The result is that, approximately every 2,160 years, the constellation visible early on the morning of the spring equinox changes. In Western astrological traditions, this signals the end of one astrological age (currently the Age of Pisces) and the beginning of another (Age of Aquarius). Over the course of 26,000 years, the precession of the equinoxes makes one full circuit around the ecliptic.

Just as the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere is currently in the constellation of Pisces, so the winter solstice is currently in the constellation of Sagittarius, which happens to be the constellation intersected by the galactic equator. Every year for the last 1000 years or so, on the winter solstice, the Earth, Sun and the galactic equator come into alignment, and every year, precession pushes the Sun's position a little way further through the Milky Way's band.

New Age proponents of the galactic alignment hypothesis argue that, just as astrology uses the positions of stars and planets to make claims of future events, the Mayans plotted their calendars with the objective of preparing for significant world events. However, the alignment in question is not exclusive to 2012 but takes place over a 36-year period, corresponding to the diameter of the Sun, with the most precise convergence having already occurred in 1998.

Nostradamus much-quoted 16th century physician and prognosticator with his cryptic quatrains has been the most respected seer in history. A number of his quatrains are believed by scholars of prophecy to pertain to our time, and warn of dire events. It's estimated that about 50% of his prophecies have come true. While this passes in some circles as a staggeringly huge number of hits, it's worth keeping in mind that it's an equal number of misses, too...and even the hits are open to interpretation. Never, anywhere, does he specifically mention the year 2012. In fact, he goes on to claim that his visions extend as far as the 38th century, so apparently humanity doesn't meet its gory end any time soon after all. And with no concrete dates to point to, we are forced to wait and see - in retrospect - whether or not Nostradamus had any real insight into current events.

Surely there must be some biblical passages that dovetail with the Mayan prediction of the end of days. Fundamentalist Christians are loud in their warnings that the rapture is imminent and those who miss it are in for a crapload of trouble. But wait - many doomsday dates predicted by theologians have come and gone, leaving their followers wondering what "didn't" hit them. And the bible itself assures us that nobody, not even Jesus or the angels, knows the exact date that anything is going to go down. That's a secret God is keeping to himself, we're told. Did He change His mind and decide to leak the info after all?

Well then, isn't there a rogue star out there - Nibiru, or Planet X - that's due to make a pole-reversing, 1,000-foot wave-creating flyby of the earth? Both sides of THAT argument lay their case in front of the public, and we are free to take an open-minded look at it. As for Nibiru, latest thinking on that subject - at least by astronomers, who are in some position to know - is that it doesn't even exist, much less plan to drop by - or drop on us - in 2012. According to them, Nibiru=fake. End of story. As expected, detractors abound.

What about the aliens, the ones that seeded humanity and keep coming back to steal cow parts and human fetuses? Those who claim to be in contact with these extraterrestrials are supposedly being assured that they will finally make their landing on the White House lawn on December 21, 2012. Unfortunately, we're forced to take the word of the contactees, with no way of verifying the information for ourselves. And why these contactees consider beings who behave the way these ETs apparently do as "space brothers" who should be welcomed with open arms is beyond me, but that's a discussion for another article!

Finally, and most encouraging of all, is the idea that - far from disaster and ruin - the new age is going to bring enlightenment and a sorely-needed raising of the human consciousness to a higher and more spiritual level of existence. This will include everyone being able to engage in telepathy, levitation, and the ability to speak with the angels. Great as this sounds, again - best to examine whatever passes for evidence that this is what's going to happen.

It seems to me that the information (or misinformation, as the case may be) that is making the rounds is being served up to the public as if it were a sort of stew...a particularly inedible one. You might love peanut butter, peach ice cream, asparagus, chocolate sauce, and liverwurst. But if you jam them all in a blender and try to swallow the result, how yummy would it be? Personally, I'd rather eat the contents of my cat's litter box. While it might seem logical to take a lot of really good-sounding ideas, each worthy of consideration on their own, and simmer them all together in a single pot for a tasty combo of intellectual flavors, the recipe really doesn't work. And that's what's happened with 2012. So many favorite non-secular ideologies, traditional (and poorly accepted) mythologies and mysteries, conspiracy theories, belief systems, fears, pseudo-scientific conclusions, and just plain wishful thinking, all being tossed into the 2012 crock-pot. The true importance of this date, assuming there is one, is in danger of being utterly lost in the stew. Every doomsday scenario ever concocted, brilliant or barmy, is being forcibly linked to this single date.

It's weird, but it seems that every generation since the beginning of all those biblical begats has looked forward to the world ending during their own time. Apparently we all understand at a deep and depressing level just how far off course we've drifted, spiritually and emotionally. We are desperate for change, even if it means a gigantic dieback of humanity itself. And if there's any truth to the theory that, by our concentrated thoughts and intentions, we create our own reality, then we have some reason to be frightened for this particular generation. There's a traditional zen proverb that sums it up: That which you are looking for, is always looking for you. There's an emergent awareness of this possibility that events can be influenced by a collective will. It's a phenomenon known as "collective manifestation." In brief, it suggests that the more people believe a thing, the more influence they will have - consciously or unconsciously - in bringing it about. If this is true, then we are on track for SOMETHING significant to happen in 2012, simply because we decided amongst ourselves that we really, really wanted it to.

2012 Real or fake

As some may or may not know "Doomsday" is upon us. Well some people believe that theory to be true while other laugh. That's why I ask the question who believes in 2012 being the last year of existence. Let me just brief everyone who doesn't know. On December 21, 2012 the apparent "Doomsday" will occur. Don't just throw this off as a Conspiracy Theory just yet.

The Mayans have a calendar set hundreds of years ago, and there clock keeps going on today eventhough the Mayans were killed years ago. On December 21, 2012 is when their calendar stops (or resets). The Mayans were also respondible for closely depicting events like both World Wars. Still don't believe me. Einstein is quoted in saying (im paraphrasing), Everything on Earth is run by clocks. What happens when everything triggers at the same time? This theory traces back to when Einstein collectively figured out all of Earth plates and faults could and might move/trigger all at once, causing mass earth-quakes and volcanoes.

Still don't believe me. In the "Bible" it is stated that "God" will not end the world by water anymore but by fire, (Einsteins theory). Lastly Nostradamus the great predictor, who correctly prediction Adolf Hitler raising to power and both World Wars, first depicts a third World War, and it will be started by a third-world country (Iraq/Afghanistan). Also depicts the end of the world as being full of fire and power (War). My take on the whole "2012" theory is that I believe it will happen, so if I'm wrong, the rest of my life from December 22, 2012 will be gravy

How the world end in 2012?

Among the many questions that bombard the internet, one of them is how will the world end in 2012? While there have been a lot of speculations the end of the world 2012, there have been lots of predictions indicating that the year 2012 is a special year and that December 21, 2012 is going to be one significant day in our history.

Nostradamus’ Reputation for Prediction.
When anything Nostradamus has predicted is discussed by the media, the information draws world wide attention. It is known by everyone that when Nostradamus speaks, stuff begins to happen. Nostradamus’ predictions are at times so accurate, it is terrifying. He has pinpointed new world leaders and many major events throughout history for centuries following his life. Nostradamus predicted the events of September 11, 2001. Yet, the destruction of the World Trade Center surprised and horrified the population.

The Mayan Calendar, Is it accurate?
If the world is going to end, we can safely assume that such an event will be terrifying and horrific. After all, the Mayans and the I-Ching oracle were horrified about the astronomical predictions thousands of years ago. They knew they wouldn’t be around to experience the events of December 21, 2012. We on the other hand will all have a front row seat. The one guide to survival that I found was at http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-survive-2012 and this source had wealth of information.

Merlin’s Prediction
Merlin’s predictions are alarmingly in agreement with the doom predicted by the Mayans. What was it that the Mayans found that was so horrifying about December 12, 2012? The rising sun on that date will line up perfectly with the black hole at the center of the Milky Way. Current astronomical scientists agree with the Mayan’s astronomy predictions.

Hopi Indians’ History
Like the Mayans, the Hopi have also always known that there were previous histories; other peoples who lived on planet Earth. Each of the preceding 3 worlds that called this planet home all made the same mistakes that humanity of this current creation have. The inhabitants of Earth have all misused technology and disconnected themselves from nature. When these civilizations refused to change, the Earth was destroyed. First the cleansing of our planet came by massive earthquakes; second by the Ice Age; third by the Great Flood.

The significance of the year 2012

Most of you know that the earth has got a magnetic field. As the earth’s molten core is rotating; the magnetic field is created. The thought sphere of the human mind is located in the earth’s magnetic field. This mag-netic field has been weakening dramatically over last ten years. Now, in physics there is a parameter called “Schumann´s Resonance”. Using that we can determine the strength of the earth’s magnetic field. While for many centuries, it was constant around 7.80 cycles per second, during the last 7-8 years, it has risen to 11 cycles per second and is continuing to increase dramatically. If you work it out mathematically, it appears that, by the year 2012, the "Schuman´s" is likely to be 13 cycles per second.

When this resonance is 13 cycles per second, the earth’s core would stop rotating with magnetic field gone, you mind is gone. When I say "your mind", what I mean is your "samskaras". The pressure of the past 11.000 years of samskaras will vanish. In the Dharma, we also say, “Mind is Karma”. All actions start from your mind. The mind is nothing but a storehouse of samskaras or past life vasanas from which all action emanates. This is stored in the earth’s magnetic field. So in the year 2012, it will become zero for a few days. After that the core will start rotating again. This would be a fresh beginning for man or the dawn of the Golden Age. This is the significance of the year 2012.

The study of fossil records has shown that, it happens roughly after 11.000 years. It’s only a short time away and then we can all start afresh. That is why I want you to become enlightened by 2012. If you are enlight-ened, with all your samskaras gone, we can begin a new yuga, which can be called Sathya Yuga or the Golden Age. Man will enter into a new state of al-tered consciousness.

As I told you already, the earth’s resonance is increasing which means the earth’s heart is undergoing a transformation. The earth has got a physical body, like you have a body. It has got a consciousness as well. Now as the resonance is increasing the earths heart functioning very differently from before. Now, your heart and the earth’s heart are connected. The earth’s heart can be influ-enced by your heart and vice versa. That is why, it is essential that your heart-beat synchronises with the earth’s resonance. This means your heart must flower. Your heart will flower when you discover love in your relationships. If you have discover love, you must stop judging your parents, spouses, etc., internally. Nobody can be judged as the whole universe directly influences all events, even the behaviour of the people. So learn to experience life. Life has to be experienced, be it pain or pleasure

The inca big myth

The Inca empire developed between 1400 and 1500 AD in an area which is now Peru. Before the 15th century the Andean region was populated by many different tribes of people. Under the military leadership of Pachacuti and his son Topa Inca, who were Inca emperors between 1438 and 1493, the Inca state expanded into a great empire. From a geographic point of view, the Inca empire was not a very attractive place to live. The north-western border is the coastal region of the Pacific Ocean, which is the driest desert on earth. Not a drop of rain has fallen there in over 500 years. The towering Andes Mountains begin east of the desert, with steep slopes that make agriculture a serious challenge. The Inca solved that problem by creating terraces and filling them with fertile earth brought up from the mountain valleys. To the east of the Andes, lay the vast and humid jungle of the Amazon River Basin, inhabited by fierce tribes whom the Inca never managed to conquer.

The Inca empire and culture was largely destroyed by the Spanish in the most brutal conquest seen on the American continent. Under the leadership of Fransisco Pizarro the Spanish stole over 280,000 kilograms of gold from the Inca, destroyed and prohibited all expression of native religion and culture. Yet many traditions managed to survive in the myths and culture of Peru, Ecuador and Columbia. The present-day Quechua-speaking peoples of the Andes are the descendants of the Inca. They make up almost 45 percent of the population of Peru. They live in close-knit communities and combine farming and herding with simple traditional technology. Much of the agricultural work is done cooperatively. Even though Catholicism is now the official religion in these areas, in practice it is a blend of Western and native Andean religion and culture.

Pachacuti drastically reorganized the Inca religion. He claimed to be the direct descendant of the Inca Sun God Inti, which made his people extremely obedient. Their daily work tasks almost became a religious duty. Pachacuti created a cult around himself and the sun-god Inti. Every day the emperor would wear new clothes, the old ones from the previous day had to be burned, and he would only eat from golden plates. Inca society was a theocratic society, meaning that politics and religion were completely intertwined. The Inca religion combined features of animism, fetishism, and the worship of nature gods representing forces of nature. Inca rituals included elaborate forms of divination and the sacrifice of humans and animals.

Every Inca citizen was assigned a very strict task in life, connected to their age, gender and social position. For example children over five years of age had the responsibility of carrying water up to the fields where grown-ups were growing crops. And women older than fifty had to weave cloth for making clothes. Even the physically and mentally disabled were given daily tasks that were attuned to their capabilities. One of these tasks was chewing maize or corn and spitting it back into a big bowl. By letting this substance ferment the Inca made their own special corn beer called Chicha which they drank on festive occasions.

All of the individual responsibilities were recorded by bureaucrats through a system called the Quipu. It was an intricate form of communication using colored strings tied into knots. This was the Inca alternative to writing since they did not develop a written language of their own. Emperor Pachacuti also created religious holidays for his people. Six times a month the entire empire was shut down for festivities, lectures and parades. The Inca were incredible builders and architects. Their irrigation systems, palaces, temples, and fortifications can still be seen throughout the Andes. They had an efficient road system which was mainly used for government and military purposes. Couriers would carry messages in the form of knotted cords all over the empire. Unfortunately, this road network was also used by the Spanish, which greatly facilitated their conquest of the Inca Empire.
